Werewolves and Cheeseburgers

Young Adult Horror · Mystery · Dark Comedy

Seaside is full of fog, old warnings, stranger traditions, and stories everyone knows better than to believe.

Then Violet Finch finds something beneath the harbor pier.

It cuts her.

The wound disappears.

And Violet begins to change.

A darkly funny seaside mystery about grief, friendship, folklore, and the unfortunate discovery that some towns do not keep their monsters in the past.

Beyond the Book

Writing Werewolves and Cheeseburgers got me thinking about what the world of Seaside could become beyond the page.

With my background in design, marketing, and innovation, I started exploring ways the story could extend into games, partnerships, experiences, and a little bit of ridiculous cheeseburger culture.

Video game

Imagine an ’80s-inspired arcade game with a little Tapper energy.

You play a server slinging cheeseburgers to a growing crowd, except some of the burgers turn customers into werewolves.

As the game progresses, you bounce between causing chaos and trying to undo it, serving transformation burgers on one round and antidote burgers on the next.

Pixel art, synth music, increasingly frantic customers, and plenty of questionable cheeseburger decisions would bring the strange little world of Werewolves and Cheeseburgers into an entirely different medium.

AI imagined concept.

Cheeseburger Excellence Awards

Why stop at a video game?

The idea could extend into real-world partnerships with burger joints, restaurants, and other brands through the Cheeseburger Excellence Awards, celebrating exceptionally good cheeseburgers while connecting the fictional world of the book with actual places people can visit.

The game, the awards, merchandise, and restaurant partnerships could all become small extensions of the same strange universe.

Because if you write a book called Werewolves and Cheeseburgers, eventually you have to take the cheeseburgers seriously.
